After six years of serving over 12,000 teams worldwide, DocuVault has ceased new operations as of March 15, 2024. All previously synced documents remain accessible for archival purposes.
⚠️ Important: Data Export Deadline Extended
The deadline for exporting your workspace data has been extended to September 30, 2025. All team workspaces will remain accessible in read-only mode until this date. After this deadline, archived workspaces will be securely purged in compliance with SOC 2 Type II standards.

DocuVault was founded in 2018 by a small team of distributed-systems engineers who believed that document collaboration shouldn't compromise on privacy or performance.
At our peak, we supported over 12,000 teams across 89 countries, with offices in San Francisco, Berlin, and Singapore. We raised $18M in funding from Sequoia Scout Fund, Y Combinator (W18), and several angel investors.
Despite strong product-market fit and a passionate user base, the competitive landscape and shifting macroeconomic conditions made it unsustainable to continue operations independently. In March 2024, we made the difficult decision to wind down the company.

System maintenance window: Sundays 02:00–06:00 UTC. During maintenance, the document sync endpoint may return 503 errors.
